What it’s like to move through the world as a queer person seeking safety and authenticity. The need for spaces that are inclusive, culturally sensitive, and grounded in care. The lasting impacts of complex trauma on relationship with self and with others. Centering anti-oppressive, anti-racist, decolonial values both in therapy and everyday practice.
My cultural and ancestral background is Irish, Argentinian, and Italian. I’m a white settler and hold awareness of how my ancestry intersects with colonization and privilege. I’m a second-generation settler, attuned to complexity of seeking safety through blending in and experiences of disconnection from family culture. I was raised with a mix of cultural influences, shaped by both familial traditions and settler Canadian norms. I’m committed to reflection around cultural identity, power, and responsibility in therapeutic spaces. I bring cultural curiosity and humility into my work, and am committed to honouring each person’s unique cultural and ancestral context.
