FAQs for Affordable Therapy Program

  • If you are a part of the 2SLGBTQ+ community and seeking an affirming therapist, with financial barriers to accessing therapy, we welcome you to apply!

We primarily support the 2SLGBTQ+ community & those in close relationships to the community, however for this program we prioritize the 2SLGBTQ+ & BIPOC communities.

Currently for ATP, we are only supporting residents of Ontario, Canada at this time.

  • Each ATP Application cohort is a unique form link. The updates for when this link is available is first sent to our email subscribers, then posted on our instagram page.

If you would like to be the first to receive updates when our ATP applications reopen, subscribe to our email list (enter your email in our "News & Updates" Button at bottom of our website), and/or follow our instagram page @rainbow.counselling.

  • There may be a limit on how many sessions your individual therapist is able to offer your ATP rate at.

Our therapists will communicate with you any limitations on the number of sessions they are able to offer at your ATP rate during your initial consultation.

As the ATP is supported by both Clinical Interns & Associate Therapists, their ability to offer your ATP sessions ongoing, depends on individual therapist circumstances.

  • When your ATP form is submitted, our Clinic Care team reviews your individual application based on your accessible rate and reason for seeking therapy, we then provide a match with the therapist who is best able to support you.
